What do u need 2 play these shn's?
I have windows...& i can't play em...or do u have to sign up/log on to bitorrent...[please 4give my PC naievete [img]redface.gif[/img] [img]wink.gif[/img] ]

You have to d'l an add-on for winamp. Do a google search for shn files, it should come right up.

Be warned, they are a LOT bigger than mp3s.

You d'l them through the bit torrent client. They seem to be the file of choice for the traders. They sound a LOT better...

To decode the shn files you need: The mkw Audio Compression Tool
And to decode the Flac files you need: FLAC Frontend

BTW, here's the official BitTorrent Client you need to download the torrent files with.

Once you decode the FLAC or SHN files to WAV, you have an exact copy of the original CD. Burn it, and it's as if you traded with some dude through the mail, but with probably less pops & skips [img]wink.gif[/img]

What do you guys do, burn them straight to disc so as not to tie up memory on your PC?
Do you have to convert them 1st?
Those particular sites are new to me....
